Insurance found Kimberly when she was a new driver. She went to her agent’s office about her bill, it went up because of an “accident” she had. Kimberly didn’t really have an accident. So, when she went to find out why she was paying more for something that literally was not her fault, the agency owner offered her a job.
Kimberly is a 1986 graduate of the Institute of Insurance, and she has been in the industry for 41 years. She is licensed in P&C, L&H, and Medicare supplement. She worked for two other local agencies, and then I went out on my own in 2002 and never looked back. She is a worker and believes in hard work and a good work ethic, and her staff know what she expects. She has been married to her husband Larry Gene for over 30 years and they have 3 children and 5 grandchildren. Kimberly has taught children’s church and Sunday school for over 30 years, and she still loves it. Her family is everything to her and that’s why she works so hard. She grew up with little but her brothers and an amazing Godly father that raised them alone until he met her amazing stepmom. From an early age her father instilled in them the drive to always work hard and to do your best.
They are a family run business and Kimberly believes that is one of the reasons people are drawn to us and stay with them. They have 2 locations, with 4 employees at each location. Their main office is in Yanceyville, NC and the other agency is in Roxboro, NC. She has served on numerous boards in the county her whole professional life. Kimberly has been the President, Vice President and Board Member of the Caswell County Chamber of Commerce for several terms in each office. She currently serves on the Caswell County Partnership for Children Board, Chair of Caswell County Family Services (Domestic Violence), Secretary and Treasurer of Caswell County Crime Stoppers and active member and Sunday School teacher at Shiloh Baptist Church.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren as much as possible. However, her grandchildren are the apple of her eye, and she has a special relationship with each one. As well as traveling with her family, she also enjoys helping family and friends with weddings and doing flower arrangements
